Festir Looks for Major Hotel Operators for a new Reykjavik City Hotel

Festir has sent an Invitational Letter to several major hotel operators, both domestic and international, for a private presentation of a design proposal for a new Reykjavik City Hotel project S18.

The building, located in the historical Laugardalur, in Reykjavik´s extended centre has been a landmark in the cities landscape from its finalization in 1973, originally designed by architects Gudmundur Kr. Kristinsson and Ferdinand Alfredsson as an office building. For the last two years architect Valdimar Hardarsson has led this project on behalf of ASK architects as permits have been cleared for operating a hotel in the existing 3500 sqm building and a new 2200 sqm connected building.  Just recently, architects Helen Wentzel and Hubert Zandberg at Hubert Zandberg Interiors Ltd. have finalized for Festir concept Ideas for the hotel´s interior.
